Adjusting Screen Resolution & Scaling
EEGer4 440t or Later
In newer versions of the software, EEGer will detect and adjust its display size at startup. In most cases, no changes will be needed to the Windows display settings for these versions to work correctly!
EEGer4 440s or Earlier
Computers with high-DPI displays may have problems display EEGer while running sessions. By default, Windows increases scaling (zoom) on programs and apps if using a high resolution or high-DPI display. This can cause EEGer's wave screen to appear 'cut off' when running live or replay sessions or overlap the feedback display on the second monitor.
To correct this, follow the steps below:
- Close EEGer if it is already open - making these adjustments with EEGer open can make it difficult to close or navigate the program without restarting the computer.
- Navigate to Display Settings by right-clicking a blank space on the Desktop and selecting it from the context menu. Win+I can also be used as a shortcut to open the Windows Settings app - click System to access the display settings.
- Locate the Scale and layout section. A dropdown menu labeled Change the size of text, apps, and other items should be visible in this section - it will display a percentage, and likely the word (Recommended).
- Change this option to 100% and confirm these changes if needed. The settings app and taskbar may reduce in size, as Windows is no longer scaling these programs once this change is made.
- Locate Display resolution and ensure this is set to a maximum of 1920x1080 - EEGer can experience problems if displayed at resolutions above this.
- If necessary, make these adjustments to the external monitor by selecting the external monitor under the Rearrange your displays section at the top of the window.
- Open EEGer and begin a new session - observe if the issue has been resolved and the entire wave screen is now visible.
